No wind, no rain, no motorcycle mishaps can stop Aerosmith’s “Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock Tour” which begins their spectacular 18-city Live Nation produced US Summer Tour starting tomorrow, Friday, July 23rd at Oakland’s Oracle Arena.

Aerosmith, America’s Number One rock and roll band, has just finished a run of phenomenally successful dates in Europe and South America but all agree that playing for their American fans is the ultimate. Clearly the Aerosmith army couldn’t agree more.

The band is scheduled to play their hometown along with the J. Geils Band at a sold out Fenway Park show on August 14th.

“After last summer, we’ve been looking forward to getting back out there with a vengeance. I can’t wait to feel the roar of the American audiences again and give this summer what it needs – a double dose of Aerosmith!” commented Steven Tyler.

Aerosmith’s Joe Perry had a motorcycle mishap last week but stated, “Just like the name of the tour, I am ‘Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock.’ It was a close call. My bike is smashed but I am ok from head to toe. I want to thank all of the fans for their emails and support.”

“After all the trials and tribulations we’ve come out into one of the most fun tours in recent memory. We had an amazing time in South America and Europe and now we’re ready to bring it home,” said Tom Hamilton.

Aerosmith will be celebrating their 40th anniversary as America’s most enduring and thrilling bands in rock history…and have sold over 150 million records. They are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, recipients of countless awards including four Grammys, eight American Music Awards, six Billboard Awards and twelve MTV Video Music Awards.

Sammy Hagar and the Wabos will open eleven of the sixteen announced shows.

THIS WILL BE THE ROCK EVENT OF THE SUMMER TICKETS ON SALE APRIL 17th

Aerosmith, America’s Greatest Rock and Roll band, will be performing in Boston’s famed Fenway Park on Saturday August 14th with The J. Geils Band in what will surely be the ultimate must see show of the summer. Aerosmith and The J. Geils Band, two of the world’s hardest rocking bands who call Boston their home, will play together at Fenway Park. This promises to be one of the most important shows in Rock and Roll history.

The announcement of the “DOUBLE PLAY” event was made this evening by Boston home boys Steven Tyler and Peter Wolf at the top of the 4th inning of the Red Sox/Yankees game when they visited Red Sox announcers Don Orsini and Jerry Remy to make the surprise announcement to a roaring Boston crowd. This is the first time both bands have ever played together.

“Sox fans look out! You’ve got a grand slam with Aerosmith and J. Geils and we’re going to rock it over the Green Monster,” said Steven Tyler.

Tyler most recently appeared at Fenway Park for the opening Red Sox/Yankees game on Sunday, April 4th when he performed God Bless America from the field.

Aerosmith‘s Joe Perry who is currently on tour in the UK with the Joe Perry Project commented from Newcastle, England, “When I heard that Aerosmith would be playing Fenway Park this summer, naturally I freaked out. Then I heard it was going to be with The J. Geils Band. I knew that this is an event that I, like all hard core Bostonians, have been waiting for for 40 years. There have been other shows at Fenway Park, but this one is going to leave them all behind because it’s going to rock so hard the Green Monster will crack and they will have to keep the Citgo sign together with duct tape and glue. The biggest problem for me is that I can’t be on stage and in the audience at the same time. I’ll definitely be in the audience watching J. Geils performance.”

Aerosmith, the biggest, most enduring and thrilling band in rock history will make a spectacular return to South America for the first time since 2007 beginning in Caracas, Venezuela on May 17th with the COCKED, LOCKED, READY TO ROCK TOUR! The band will then go to Europe for 11 more knock out shows.

Aerosmith will be celebrating their 40th anniversary later this year. For more than 30 years Aerosmith has defined American Rock and Roll. They’ve earned countless awards (including 4 Grammy Awards, 8 American Music Awards, 6 Billboard Awards, and 12 MTV Awards), performed electrifying sold-out concerts around the world, and have a fan-base numbering in the millions worldwide.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, April 17th through LiveNation.com and by phone at 1-800-514-3849. Tickets will not be available at the Red Sox ticket office. For more information on Aerosmith, including fan club tickets, go to www.aeroforceone.com.

Drummer Joey Kramer says, “Aerosmith is back! Bigger, better and stronger than ever! So look out South America and Europe, cuz we’re comin’ to get cha.”

Guitarist Brad Whitford added, “I’m not sure who is happier, the band or the fans. Can’t wait to get started. We’ll see you this summer.”

Aerosmith and their shared passion and commitment to continue to rock the world with the COCKED, LOCKED, READY TO ROCK TOUR! is set to be a phenomenal and unforgettable return to the stage.

It is left to bassist Tom Hamilton to sum up: “One thing we all agree on is that we love this band and it’s time to get out there and freakin’ PLAY!”

Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp has been making it possible for music fans to jam with their favorite rock stars since 1997. But the next session — running April 29th through May 3rd in Hollywood, CA — is bound to blow the roof off the Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp as it welcomes for the first time ever the legendary Steven Tyler as its headliner.

Tyler, lead singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist for the Grammy-winning, Boston-based rock band Aerosmith, which has sold 100 million albums in a career spanning four decades, will bring his own inimitable style to the proceedings, fielding questions and sharing insights and stories from his incredible career.

“Steven has generously agreed to donate exclusive autographed memorabilia for our traditional closing night concert and charity auction to benefit MusiCares, which will take place at the world famous Whiskey A Go Go,” said David Fishof, Producer, Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp.

The five-day rock camp, which runs April 29th through May 3rd in Hollywood, CA, gives music lovers — regardless of their musical ability — a once-a-lifetime opportunity to live like a rock star and jam with their idols. Participants form separate bands, each of which receives intensive coaching from a different rock star providing an unforgettable, life-changing experience.

This rock camp’s all-star roster of musicians also includes Grammy award-winning producer Mark Hudson, Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), Todd Rundgren, Steve Lukather (Toto), Bruce Kulick (KISS), Alan White (Yes), Elliot Easton (The Cars) and many more. Several celebrity campers have signed on for the April session, including ice skater/Olympic Gold medalist Scott Hamilton and Guy Fieri, the “bad boy” of Food Network.

Previous camp guest stars have included Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Roger Daltrey (The Who), Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys) and Bill Wyman (The Rolling Stones). The Stones’ Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were featured in a special Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp episode of “The Simpsons.”
