This may be the last chance you have at seeing one of the greatest guitarists who ever lived perform live-in-person: the awesome Jimmy Page.That’s right folks. The 2007 Led Zeppelin Reunion Tour is nigh. We can expect the surviving members Page, Robert Plant (who can no longer hit those high notes that used to drive girls in the audience crazy), and John Paul Jones.

Although they’re calling it a reunion tour, Zeppelin is only scheduled for one performance on November 26th at the O2 Arena in London. Tickets are running for £125 or $250 USD, and you can get them for this price online here. That’s a pretty penny, but that’s what the legends are charging these days. Just look at the Rolling Stones.

I’d pay that much to see three gods of rock and roll if I lived anywhere near England.

50 bands will play this year on the Stufstock™5 Greenfest stages in Vama Veche during the 16th and 19th of August. Diversity will have its saying at Stufstock™5 Greenfest this time, too. The audience will have the opportunity to listen to genres ranging from heavy metal, rock and punk to funk, blues, folk, jazz, electro or ambient music.

This year edition of Stufstock™ joins forces with the Greenfest concept developed by Tuborg. Tuborg aims at making the Greenfest events a global phenomenon to offer unforgettable musical encounters in full harmony with the environment to quality music and beer lovers.

The metal guys from Cradle of Filth, the Toy Dolls and Dandy Warhols punkers and the funky musicians from Defunkt are the headliners of the four Stufstock™5 – Greenfest evenings on the stage at Marina Park.

The sun will rise on Stufstock™5 Greenfest music each morning from Friday to Sunday. Blanoz (Romania), Bau (Romania) and Electro Griot (Mali/USA/Romania) are those who will play on the beach stage.

Moreover, the organizers decided to give a chance to less known bands that will perform within the « off » section of Stufstock™5 Greenfest. The Others, Vive la Noise, Mauser, Evo, Mushroom Story, Talking Drums, Tep Zepi, the Amsterdams, and the Mood will play on the stage at Papa la Şoni from Thursday to Saturday between 16.00 and 19.00 hrs.

Although they confirmed their gig at Stufstock™5, Bloodhound Gang called off their participation due to private matters with drummer Adam Perry.

A last minute surprise for punk-rock fans is the presence of British band Toy Dolls who accepted to play at Stufstock™5 Greenfest right before their tour in Japan. Toy Dolls will perform on the stage at Marina Park in Vama Veche on Friday, the 17th of August.

Another change in the program regards the sunrise concert on Sunday, the 19th of August. Abdoulaye Diabate announced that some health problems will prevent him from taking part to the festival. Balla Tounkara, a Mali native from a prestigious family of griots will complete Electro Griot band. Balla Tounkara will play the kora (African harp) on the morning of 19th August in Vama Veche together with Electro Griot and he will charm the audience with the unique vocalese of Western Africa.

One piece of news for this edition is the option to camp at Marina Park, in a location nearby to the concert one whereby the campers will have access to all the required facilities. The camping pass for Stufstock™5 Greenfest costs 5 RON per day and will be issued within the limits of the accommodation capacity.

The environment volunteers division will be in charge not only with cleaning the beach and the village during the festival, but also with informing the tourists about the Marine Reservation 2 Mai-Vama Veche and with submitting complaints on the violation of environment regulations. The environment volunteers division has already more than 100 members.
