VH1 CLASSIC AND MARK BURNETT PRODUCTIONS GIVE MUSIC FANS THE CHANCE OF A LIFETIME ON “Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp” OCTOBER 16 @ 10 PM ET/PT “That Metal Show” Season Six and “Behind The Music Remastered” Premiere With All New Guests and Stories

VH1 Classic is kicking October into high gear with “ROCK-TOBER” — a month of new music programming premieres that promise to create the ultimate destination for rock and heavy metal fans. Beginning October 16 at 9 PM* the premiere of “Behind the Music Remastered: Poison” will feature never-before-seen interviews and footage followed by the new original series by executive producer Mark Burnett, “Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp” at 10 PM* which gives 15 “average Joes” the chance to become a real rock star. Finish your Saturday night by hanging out with your favorite threesome, the guys from “That Metal Show” at 11 PM* as they kick off their sixth season of all things heavy metal in the show’s new hour-long format.

VH1′s Emmy Award-nominated and critically acclaimed series “Behind The Music,” returns to continue some of the rock world’s most iconic stories. Starting October 16 at 9 PM*, VH1 Classic will air 10 new one-hour episodes of “Behind the Music Remastered” featuring some of classic rocks seminal artists and bands including: Poison, Leif Garrett, Hall & Oates, Boy George, Alice Cooper, Michael Hutchence, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Green Day, Duran Duran and Fleetwood Mac. Picking up where the original “Behind the Music” episode left off, VH1 Classic will air brand new interviews, footage, and video clips that update the stories of several classic artists over the last 10 to 15 years. Network Announces First-Look Special to Premiere Monday, May 31st Due to Bret’s Recent Medical Condition New Ten-Episode 30-Minute Series Pushed to Premiere in Fall 2010

VH1, 51 Minds and Bret Michaels are teaming up again for the new docu-series Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It, giving viewers an insider’s look at Bret’s home life when he isn’t touring, shooting, partying and rocking out. After the lights have dimmed on stage and the music stops for the night, Bret rolls off the tour bus right into the loving arms of his daughters Raine and Jorja, who affectionately refer to him as “Poppa Rocka.” The half-hour special will premiere Memorial Day, Monday, May 31st at 10PM ET/PT followed by the series premiere of Dad Camp at 10:30PM ET/PT. The series Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It is tentatively scheduled to premiere in Fall 2010.

“After Bret’s recent appendectomy and life threatening brain hemorrhage, we’re so happy that he is on the road to recovery and coming back to VH1 in Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It,” said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President of Original Programming and Production. “Bret is family to us and has always been a huge hit on the network, headlining several series and specials that have garnered record breaking ratings and made a strong connection with our audience. We have temporarily halted production on the series with Bret’s health as our primary concern. Production will resume when it is cleared by his doctors. If anyone can fight off illness and get back on his feet, it’s Bret. But in the meantime, in response to the flood of well wishes the network has received from Bret’s fans, we’d like to celebrate Bret’s recovery with this sneak peak special featuring the next chapter in Bret’s story on VH1. It’s a never-before-seen look into Bret’s family life–the real center of his world from which he draws his unsinkable strength.”

In this first-look special and the forthcoming series, viewers will not only get a taste of Bret’s life on the road, but for the first time ever, a look at his home life, a sprawling compound where his daughters and their mother, Kristi Gibson, reside. But raising two little girls and being a rock icon don’t always go hand-in-hand. Now fans get to take a peek at what keeps Bret going. Is it the hoards of wild fans, the glory of super stardom, or is it the unconditional love from his family? Watch as Bret juggles life on the road, his career, raising two kids and managing his on again off again relationship with their beautiful mom, Kristi. Tune in Memorial Day night for a first-look sneak peak into the next chapter of Bret’s life.

Bret also has a new album Custom Built coming out June 8th featuring the hit single “Nothing to Lose” with Miley Cyrus and a remake of Sublime’s “What I Got.”

VH1′s Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It is created and executive produced by Mark Cronin and Cris Abrego for 51 Minds Entertainment, LLC. an Endemol Company, who also produced the record-breaking series “Rock of Love,” “Charm School,” “Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business,” “The Surreal Life” and “My Fair Brady.” The production teams’ programming launched VH1 into it’s highest ratings ever. Ben Samek and Matt Odgers also executive produce for the series and the company.

Grammy® Award winning guitarist Steve Vai struck gold twice recently as his latest concert film, “Live In Minneapolis: Where The Wild Things Are,” went Gold in both the USA and Canada.

“After 30 years in this business it’s very rewarding to see that your contribution is still being recognized. Thanks to the fans … really!” said Vai.

In addition, “Now We Run” from the live DVD, is nominated for a Grammy® Award for Best Rock Instrumental.

“Live In Minneapolis: Where The Wild Things Are” is available on double DVD, Blu-ray and a single CD. Later this year, Favored Nations will release “Where The Other Wild Things Are,” a 10 track CD of songs from the concert that did not make the first CD.

2010 marks Steve Vai’s 30th Anniversary in the music business. Vai first stepped into the spotlight in 1980 as a touring member of the legendary Frank Zappa’s touring band.

In January, Vai will enter the studio to record his next solo album for Favored Nations and later this year, he will embark on a World Tour that will take him through all of 2011.
