Lila Iké debuts latest track “Too Late To Lie”
Jamaican artist Lila Iké has unveiled a heart-wrenching ballad of heartbreak and healing with her latest single, “Too Late To Lie,” released on February 28, 2025. The song, along with its accompanying music video, gives listeners a glimpse into Iké’s raw emotions and vulnerability, offering a soul-stirring experience. This track is a precursor to her upcoming debut album, set to be released under the Wurl Iké Records & In.Digg.Nation Collective in exclusive partnership with Ineffable Records.
In addition to her latest release, Lila Iké has exciting news for her fans as she prepares to embark on her first-ever headlining tour in the UK. Alongside her talented band, Wurl Band, she will grace the stages of London, Bristol, and Manchester from April 8-10, 2025. Before heading to the UK, she will be performing a series of dates in Japan with the local Home Grown band.
Produced by Winta James, “Too Late To Lie” showcases a rich tapestry of live instrumentation, building from a subtle beat of snare drums to a symphony of sounds. Iké’s hauntingly beautiful vocals convey a sense of deep-seated conviction as she navigates themes of heartbreak and betrayal in the lyrics. The music video, directed by Remi Laudat, features Iké surrounded by towering speaker boxes, paying homage to the foundational sound system culture that has influenced her music.

While this song is predominantly a song about heartbreak, it also highlights the importance of protecting one’s space and energy. It highlights the importance of being vigilant about where you invest your time, energy and trust. I absolutely love the production of this song and think it’s a perfect song to share for reggae month. I can’t wait to perform this song live.”
As part of her tour schedule, Lila Iké will be captivating audiences in Japan, with performances at STARNITE in Chiba, duo MUSIC EXCHANGE in Tokyo, X-HALL ZEN in Aichi, SUNHALL in Osaka, and Yokohama Bay Hall in Kanagawa during March 2025. Following this, she will head to the UK for her much-anticipated shows at Trinity in Bristol, Manchester Academy 2 in Manchester, and HERE at Outernet in London in April 2025.
