Local Brewery Partners with Philadelphia Band on Unique Beer
Brewery ARS and local rock band Queen of Jeans have recently collaborated on a unique project – a new beer. This special brew, named All Again, is a hazy IPA with a 7% ABV and is currently available in four-packs of cans as well as on tap at Brewery ARS locations on East Passyunk Avenue and in Fishtown.
Springtime is slowly emerging across the Delaware Valley, which means it’s the perfect season to unwind, relax, and savor a refreshing beverage in the heart of Philadelphia. With an abundance of fantastic local musical talent and dynamic breweries, it comes as no surprise that individuals are merging the two. This exciting partnership unfolds in West Passyunk at Brewery ARS, known for its garage-style approach to crafting beer, as they unveil a collaborative effort with Philly indie rock band Queen of Jeans.
Queen of Jeans, a band whose name is a nod to a previous iconic East Passyunk Avenue clothing store, launched their latest album, “All Again,” in 2024. The new beer produced in conjunction with Brewery ARS shares the same name as the album. All Again is a 7% ABV hazy IPA that not only bears the album’s artwork on its cans but also embodies the harmonious fusion of music and brewing.
Mattie Glass, the guitarist for Queen of Jeans, shared insights into the collaboration, stating, “I used to bartend at Brewery ARS, and we all love to hang out there. They make the best beer in the city, and they’re fantastic people as well. We were thrilled when they approached us to create a collaborative beer. I heard they played our music to the hops.” When the decision came down to selecting a beer style for this venture, Glass emphasized that having an IPA was pivotal for Queen of Jeans. “They asked us, and we mentioned that we usually prefer IPAs when we’re on the road, so that’s what we settled on. They created a really impressive one. It’s absolutely delicious.”
This year holds significant milestones for Queen of Jeans. In addition to being the face behind a novel local brew, the band is gearing up to hit the road in May, embarking on a tour with influential Philadelphia punk ensemble The Menzingers. The tour includes performances at Reverb in Reading, Berks County, on May 31 and at The Queen in Wilmington, Delaware, on June 1. Glass also hinted at the band’s plans to release new music later this year.
All Again IPA is currently available both on tap and for purchase in four-packs at Brewery ARS locations at 1927 West Passyunk Ave. and at the Fishtown taproom situated at 2223 Frankford Ave. This exclusive collaboration between Brewery ARS and Queen of Jeans not only celebrates the essence of music and craft but also serves as a testament to the vibrant cultural landscape thriving in Philadelphia.
