Supergirl Set Video Provides Detailed Look at Milly
Milly Alcock’s character Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, was recently spotted on the set as the lead in the upcoming film, “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.” Despite this exciting development, DC Studios has yet to release an official first look at her character, leaving fans to rely on blurry drone footage captured from a distance for their first glimpse of the Girl of Steel in action.
With this new set video, fans can see Alcock in full costume, offering the closest look yet at her portrayal of Supergirl. The design of her costume aligns closely with the comic book iteration of Supergirl from the “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” series by Tom King and Bilquis Evely.
Director James Gunn seems to be keeping details of the film under wraps, possibly saving a closer look at the suit for Supergirl’s debut in the upcoming film “Superman.” In that movie, Alcock is expected to make a cameo appearance alongside David Corenswet, who plays Kal-El, Superman’s alter ego on-screen.
Gunn has shared some insights into Supergirl’s character arc in the film, emphasizing her tough upbringing and the challenges she has faced, contrasting her experiences with those of her cousin, Superman. Supergirl’s character is described as being more hardcore and complex, making her stand out from previous incarnations.
“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” features Supergirl embarking on a journey across the galaxy to celebrate her 21st birthday with her loyal companion, Krypto the Superdog. Along the way, she encounters Ruthye, a young woman, and becomes entangled in a quest for vengeance.
The star-studded cast includes Milly Alcock as Supergirl, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Jason Momoa as Lobo, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, and Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze. Craig Gillespie directs the film from a script penned by Ana Nogueira.
“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is set for release in theaters on June 26, 2026. Fans are eagerly anticipating more details about the film and the portrayal of their favorite characters, especially after this exciting sneak peek at Alcock suited up as Supergirl.
