Full festival schedule announced by ‘The Great Escape’ – Brighton and Hove News
Due to take place in Brighton from 14th to 17th May 2025, The Great Escape has officially released the full festival schedule for this year’s edition, which can be conveniently accessed through the official The Great Escape mobile app. This app is designed to assist fans in navigating the extensive lineup of over 450 artists and enables festival and conference attendees to create their personalized schedules. The app also provides real-time updates on site happenings and is accessible for free download.
The festival has announced its 2025 stage hosts, including esteemed media partners like BBC Introducing, Billboard UK, Clash, DIY, Dork, Notion, So Young, The Independent, Ticketmaster New Music, Upset, as well as renowned brands such as Download Festival, live agencies WME, ATC Live, and independent record labels like FatCat Records, Moshi Moshi, Nice Swan Records, Bella Union, PIAS, and more.
Recognized for its dedication to new music discovery and as a platform for emerging artists, The Great Escape remains a premier festival for new music enthusiasts. With a lineup showcasing over 450 up-and-coming artists and promising talent across 35+ accessible venues, along with the industry-focused TGE conference, the festival is set to commence the 2025 season from 14th to 17th May in Brighton. Expanding into a four-day affair for 2025, The Great Escape will feature a Wednesday full of music programming for the first time. The festivities will kick off with The Great Escape’s special Opening Party hosted at Jubilee Square on Wednesday 14th May by Platform B, including performances by Congratulations, SLAG, Goodbye, Bea Maher, asiedu, and REA. At other venues like Paganini Ballroom, Patterns, and The Hope and Ruin, various artists under stage hosts such as BBC Introducing Sussex and Surrey, FatCat Records, Nice Swan Records, as well as a showcase from Strap Originals will captivate audiences. Additionally, a special showcase at The Deep End will host singer-songwriter Peter Doherty, Warmduscher, Trampolene, and more, celebrating the launch of Doherty’s new album.
Continuing the celebration of new music on Thursday 15th May, The Great Escape will feature an array of showcases across Brighton. From performances by BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing in Paganini Ballroom to showcases at venues like Charles Street Tap, Komedia, Players, the Royal Albert Hall’s stage at Revenge, and more, Thursday promises a diverse lineup of talented artists. Each venue will host a unique array of artists in various genres, offering attendees a chance to explore new sounds and emerging talent.
Moving into Friday 16th May, the weekend will see another set of remarkable showcases across the city, with a mix of breakthrough artists and established names taking the stage at venues like Daltons, the Old Market, The Arch, Deep End, Paganini Ballroom, and Revenge. Legendary acts like Skunk Anansie will grace the stage at The Independent, while other venues will feature a blend of R&B, pop, electronic music, and more, highlighting a vibrant mix of talents across genres. Friday’s lineup promises an exciting array of performances for festival-goers to enjoy and discover new music.
