Nicks disclosed that the inspiration for getting back to work on music happened during a difficult time while she was displaced due to the Los Angeles wildfires. Stuck in a hotel for 92 days, she felt the absence of live performances, prompting her return to creating music. She explained, “I was sitting in a hotel for 92 days, and at some point during that last part of the 92 days, I said, ‘You know what? I feel like I’m on the road, but there’s no shows.’ I’m just sitting here by myself because everybody else is at the house, doing all the remediations and everything, and it’s just me, sitting here. And I thought, ‘You need to go back to work.’ And I did.”

In a significant departure from her usual songwriting style, Nicks revealed that this upcoming album will focus on personal experiences, featuring seven fully autobiographical tracks. She emphasized the authenticity of these songs, sharing that they are not veiled in mystery, but rather present real-life memories and stories of amazing men. “I have seven songs, and they are autobiographical, real stories where I’m not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life,” she expressed.

An anecdote about Prince offered further insight into the creative process behind the album. Nicks recounted a conversation where Prince told her, “You always bring me a gift, you never bring me you,” in response to a necklace present. This interaction ignited the spark in Nicks to embark on this deeply personal journey of storytelling and self-expression through her music.

Nicks also teased about a recently released single, “The Lighthouse,” which she penned shortly after the 2022 Roe v. Wade legislation. This track serves as a precursor to her upcoming album, marking a shift in her music since her last studio album, 2011’s In Your Dreams. Excitingly, Nicks unveiled a string of summer tour dates for 2025, offering fans the chance to experience her electrifying performances across North America.

The 2025 North American Tour Dates include venues like MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, TD Garden in Boston, and Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, among others. These highly anticipated shows are set to be a celebration of Nicks’ iconic music and unwavering artistry that has captivated audiences for decades.
