Leonie Jakobi releases latest single “So Much Love To Give”
Leonie Jakobi released her latest single, “So Much Love To Give,” which is a reflection of her admiration for rock legend Bruce Springsteen and his knack for inspiring joy among his audience during live performances. Inspired by The Boss’s heartland rock spirit, Leonie wanted to infuse her own perspective as a young female artist into the track, incorporating vibrant guitars, classic production, and an infectious chorus that embodies the essence of timeless rock. Recorded at singer-songwriter Arielle’s studio, the track captured a warm analogue sound by utilizing a ’70s tape machine to process drum and bass tracks. The lyrics of the song draw on themes of hope emerging from heartache, offering a poignant message of love and resilience.
In the song, Leonie explores the depths of yearning to love someone yet holding back, drawing inspiration from the idea that grief is a manifestation of love with no outlet. It conveys the struggle of carrying unrequited love and the realization that one must find solace within themselves. Despite the challenges, the chorus serves as an anthem for resilience, urging listeners to persevere and embrace their inner strength during difficult times.
“So Much Love To Give” is just one of the tracks that will feature on Leonie’s upcoming debut album, “What Are The People Gonna Say?,” set to be released on September 5th, 2025. Produced at Arielle’s studio, the album incorporates various analogue elements and highlights lessons learned by Leonie during her twenties, from navigating personal happiness to overcoming heartbreak and forging her unique path. Taking inspiration from soft rock and heartland rock of the ’60s and ’70s, the album juxtaposes classic themes with contemporary narratives.
To celebrate the album’s launch, Leonie will host a special homecoming show at Dreieichenhain castle in Germany, where she will perform alongside her band. Following the release, Leonie has planned UK shows, including festival appearances at the Coast Festival and Wokingham Festival. Despite her relatively short discography, Leonie has garnered support from renowned artists like Sir Paul McCartney and received airplay from esteemed figures in the industry.
Born in Frankfurt and spending significant time in Liverpool, Leonie’s music echoes the influences of iconic artists like Pat Benatar, Janis Joplin, and Bob Seger, infusing elements of Americana, country rock, and classic rock into her sound. Drawing on honest and uplifting lyrics, Leonie’s music resonates with a wide audience, crossing genres and generations.
With an impressive roster of performances alongside established acts, Leonie’s ambition to follow in Springsteen’s footsteps is well within reach. Her dynamic sound and compelling storytelling hint toward a promising future in the realm of rock music. In a world where authenticity and emotional depth prevail, Leonie Jakobi’s music is a beacon of hope and resilience, inviting listeners to connect with their inner strength and embrace life’s journey head-on.
