Cleveland Animal Protective League is bringing back its popular “New Friends Friday” promotion, where adult dogs five months and older can be adopted for just $21. This special offer runs every Friday from April 25 to May 30 and includes a dog license for Cuyahoga County residents.

Usually, the adoption fee for adult dogs at Cleveland APL starts at $125, but with the “New Friends Friday” initiative, the organization aims to help more adult dogs find loving homes while making adoption more affordable for families. APL encourages anyone looking to bring a new furry friend into their life to visit during this promotion.

Sharon Harvey, President & CEO of APL, expressed excitement about the return of this promotion, emphasizing that older dogs are often overlooked but make wonderful companions deserving of loving homes just like puppies and younger dogs. APL hopes that more people will consider adopting these amazing and special dogs.

Whether you’re looking for a month-old kitten or an mature 11-year-old dog, adoption counselors at Cleveland APL are ready to help find a perfect match to suit your lifestyle. If you’re interested in adopting a pet, you can explore the links to view adoptable puppies and dogs, kittens, cats, and other small animals available at the shelter.

If you’re unable to adopt at the moment but have space in your home and heart, consider becoming a Foster Care Volunteer. By fostering a pet, you not only free up valuable space at the shelter but also help the animal acclimate to a home environment, making it more likely to find a permanent home.

For those who can’t adopt or foster but still want to support Cleveland APL, donations of food, toys, and other essential items for the animals are greatly appreciated. As a non-governmental and non-affiliated organization, Cleveland APL relies on fundraising, donations, and support from foundations and corporations to operate its shelter and programs.

To make a donation, you can purchase items from Cleveland APL’s Amazon or Chewy wish lists, which will be automatically delivered to the shelter. By contributing in this way, you’re helping provide for the animals in need without having to physically drop off donations.

The Cleveland Animal Protective League’s location at 1729 Willey Ave #1 in the Tremont neighborhood is where you can visit to meet the animals available for adoption or learn more about the organization’s initiatives.
