Lana Del Ray caused quite a stir when she delivered a scathing new song live at the Stagecoach Festival, taking direct aim at Morgan Wallen with her track titled “57.5.” The controversial incident unfolded during Del Ray’s performance at the 2025 Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, Calif., as reported by TMZ.

In a video captured by TMZ, Lana Del Ray can be seen in the middle of performing the song, breaking into spoken word to address the audience with the words, “This is the last time I’m ever going to say this line.” The lyrics that followed did not hold back in their criticism of the country superstar Wallen.

The song included the lines, “I kissed Morgan Wallen / I guess kissing me kind of went to his head / If you want my secret to success / I suggest don’t go ATVing with him when you’re out west.” Del Ray’s bold statements left many wondering if the song was based on a real-life incident or if she took some creative liberties in crafting the lyrics.

Despite the strong message in the song, Del Ray has not offered any further explanation regarding the inspiration behind it. TMZ and Billboard both attempted to reach out to Wallen’s team for a response, but as of now, no comments have been made from his side.

Interestingly, Del Ray, who tied the knot with Jeremy Dufrene in September of 2024, also debuted another new song directed at her husband during the same performance at Stagecoach, titled “Husband of Mine.” In addition to her original tracks, Del Ray also performed a cover of Tammy Wynette’s classic “Stand by Your Man” and engaged the audience in a singalong to John Denver’s iconic hit, “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

George Birge even made an appearance to duet with Del Ray on his current single, “Cowboy Songs.” The event’s website listed Del Ray as the third act on the Stagecoach lineup in 2025, followed by Brothers Osborne and headliner Zach Bryan. The festival schedule also included Jelly Roll headlining on Saturday night and Luke Combs closing out the event on Sunday night.

In a separate note, Morgan Wallen’s songs have not shied away from delving into the darker sides of fame, revealing his struggles and personal demons through his lyrics. Despite facing controversies and setbacks in his career, Wallen has also achieved significant accomplishments and earned recognition within the country music industry in a relatively short span of time.
