Viktors Zeglovs to face trial for Spalding murder in July

A man accused of the murder of Vadims Zmicerevskis, who tragically lost his life after an incident in Spalding, Lincolnshire, is set to face trial in July. Viktors Zeglovs, aged 33 and without a fixed address, has pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder and manslaughter in connection with Mr. Zmicerevskis’ death on 11th November 2024 at the junction of Green Lane and St. Thomas’ Road.

Initially scheduled to face trial on 19th May at Lincoln Crown Court, a pre-trial hearing on Wednesday revealed that the case would not be prepared until 14th July. The trial is anticipated to span seven days as the legal process unfolds.

During the proceedings, Mr. Zeglovs participated in the hearing with the support of a Russian interpreter and remains in custody until the upcoming pre-trial hearing on 10th July at the same court.
