A new music festival paying homage to the iconic CBGB club in New York City is set to take place this September at Under the K Bridge Park in Brooklyn. The CBGB Festival, named after the renowned venue on the Bowery that launched the careers of numerous punk and new wave legends, boasts an impressive lineup of artists including Iggy Pop, Jack White, the Sex Pistols, Johnny Marr, The Damned, Melvins, Lunachicks, Marky Ramone, and The Linda Lindas.

One of the most anticipated acts is Iggy Pop, who will be performing in New York for the first time in over a decade. This rare performance is sure to be a highlight of the festival. In addition to classic icons like the Sex Pistols and Johnny Marr, the festival will also feature newer acts like The Linda Lindas, showcasing a mix of music across generations.

Presale tickets for the event will go on sale on May 15 at 10 a.m. ET, with general ticket sales starting the following day at the same time. For New York residents under 25, there will be a special discounted ticket available in person at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on May 17 at noon. These tickets will be priced at $73, a nod to the year 1973 when CBGB first opened, with only 350 tickets available, mirroring the original club’s capacity.

In related news, the iconic punk band Sex Pistols have announced additional tour dates, including appearances at Riot Fest in Chicago in September and a show at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas in October. The lineup for these shows will include original members Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock, along with singer Frank Carter.
