Chase Driscoll, who has served as an assistant coach at North Florida for the past four years, recently joined Kansas State University as the Director of Video and Analytics under head coach Jerome Tang. Tang expressed his excitement about Driscoll’s appointment, highlighting his attention to detail, love for the game, and strong work ethic, emphasizing the valuable contribution he is expected to make to the team’s preparation, player development, and overall success.
Having spent four years at his alma mater, North Florida, Driscoll worked as an assistant coach and director of operations under his father, Matthew Driscoll, the winningest coach in the history of UNF and the Atlantic Sun Conference with 248 career victories. Before joining K-State, Driscoll collaborated with Tang during their time at Baylor, where his father and Tang were both members of head coach Scott Drew’s coaching staff for six seasons. During his tenure at North Florida, Driscoll played a pivotal role in the team’s success, contributing to a total of 56 wins, including 33 victories in ASUN play over the past four seasons. The team achieved a 16-16 record in the 2023-24 season and a 15-17 record in the 2024-25 season, showcasing impressive performances such as triumphs on the road against South Carolina and Georgia Tech.
Furthermore, Driscoll was instrumental in the development of key players at North Florida, including three all-conference selections: Carter Hendrickson, Jose Placer, and Chaz Lanier. Notably, Hendrickson amassed over 1,600 career points during his time with the Ospreys, underscoring Driscoll’s role in nurturing talent and fostering individual growth within the team. His experience and expertise in coaching and player development are expected to bring a valuable perspective to Kansas State’s basketball program, enhancing their strategies both on and off the court.
By appointing Chase Driscoll as the Director of Video and Analytics, Kansas State University has demonstrated its commitment to investing in top-tier coaching talent to propel the men’s basketball team to new heights. With Driscoll’s proven track record of success and his dedication to the game, there is optimism surrounding the positive impact he will have on the program moving forward. His arrival signifies a step towards advancing the team’s performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and achieving excellence in collegiate basketball.
