Nancy Wilson Performs ‘Fight the Good Fight’ by Triumph

Nancy Wilson recently released a rendition of Triumph’s “Fight the Good Fight.” The talented guitarist from Heart offers her own take on the classic 1981 song by the Canadian band, which is part of the upcoming album Magic Power: All Star Tribute to Triumph set to be released on June 6. Wilson’s cover of “Fight the Good Fight” is now available for listening.

This new track from Wilson joins previously released covers such as Sebastian Bach’s “Rock & Roll Machine” and Dee Snider’s “Lay It on the Line” as teasers for the forthcoming LP. Triumph’s original version of “Fight the Good Fight” was included on their fifth album, Allied Forces. The album soared to No. 23 on the charts and was certified platinum, marking a significant milestone in the band’s career. The single also made its mark, peaking at No. 18 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart in 1981.

Following the release of Edge of Excess in 1992, Triumph disbanded after completing an impressive discography of 10 albums. Magic Power: All Star Tribute to Triumph pays homage to the iconic band and features contributions from a lineup of talented artists including Joey Belladonna, Mickey Thomas, Jack Blades, and Envy of None, a group fronted by none other than Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson.

The tribute album offers a tracklist that showcases new interpretations of Triumph classics like “Magic Power,” “Spellbound,” “Somebody’s Out There,” and many more. With names like Sebastian Bach, Dee Snider, and Nancy Wilson attached to this musical project, fans can expect a fresh perspective on some of Triumph’s most beloved tracks.
