Turnstile began with members such as Brendan Yates, Daniel Fang, Franz Lyons, Brady Ebert, and Sean Cullen, initially delving into the depths of hardcore punk to gradually morph into an impactful subgenre called melodic hardcore. The birth of this band can be traced back to the vibrant hardcore punk scene in Baltimore, Maryland, back in 2010.

During their formative years, Turnstile dropped EPs like “Pressure to Succeed,” “Step 2 Rhythm,” and the grand debut album “Nonstop Feeling” in 2015. Taking their electrifying sound from the local East Coast all the way to the West Coast, they toured alongside Superheaven and New Found Glory, captivating audiences far and wide. Enhancing their musical journey with diversifying influences, Turnstile seamlessly navigated through alternative rock, hardcore, and dream-pop elements within their songs.

The band’s signature remains their unwavering emotional depth that resonates through their music. Making a strategic shift, Turnstile bid farewell to guitarist Cullen and welcomed Pat McCrory from Angel Du$t as their new guitar maestro. In 2016, they unleashed their third EP “Move Thru Me,” which claimed respectable positions on the Billboard Heatseekers and Hard Rock Albums charts.

Their next big leap was signing up with the prestigious Roadrunner Records label, leading to the production of their high-octane sophomore album “Time & Space” in 2018. This explosive album swiftly soared to the top of the Billboard Heatseekers chart, with track hits like “I Don’t Wanna Be Blind” even earning a spot in WWE 2K22. Embarking on extensive tours across the United States, Europe, and Asia, Turnstile cemented their presence in the hardcore music scene.

However, just as they tasted global acclaim, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, halting the momentum they had built. Seizing this challenging moment, the band channeled their creativity into crafting fresh music during quarantine, which culminated in their groundbreaking album “Glow On.” This 15-track masterpiece received widespread recognition, securing them nominations at the Grammy Awards while songs like “Holiday” and “Blackout” showcased the band’s dynamic sonic range.

As anticipation builds for their forthcoming album “Never Enough,” Turnstile recently set the stage on fire with singles like “Seein’ Stars” and “Birds,” fueling excitement among their fan base. Making their presence felt even when absent, they earned glowing endorsements from artists like Charli XCX, hinting at a potential ‘Turnstile summer’ ahead.

Their recent performance at a charity concert in Baltimore underscored Turnstile’s commitment to community causes, uniting diverse attendees from all walks of life. With an expanding fan base and endorsements from music heavyweights, Turnstile’s voyage into mainstream success seems inevitable. Will “Never Enough” propel them to greater heights? All signs point to a resounding ‘yes.’
