be playing dates at several festivals this summer. However, this week saw tickets for a gig in Glasgow become available under the moniker Screwfish, which eagle-eyed fans noticed was an early band name for the Ayrshire rockers.

The show, taking place in the city’s SWG3 on Thursday, May 21, appears to have now sold out according to Ticketmaster. If it is indeed a Biffy show, it would mark their first live performance since Glasgow Barrowlands Ballroom in October last year.

Last year, the Kilmarnock rockers celebrated their first three albums with special dates in London’s Shepherds Bush Empire and Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom. The six gigs, titled Celebration of Beginnings, saw them play one of their first three records; Blackened Sky, The Vertigo of Bliss, and Infinity Land in full on each night.

Biffy previously hinted at their return and the potential release of new material earlier this year. A clip posted on Instagram showed the trio walking towards a door with the caption: “Back at It.” If the band do indeed release a new album, it would be their first studio effort since 2021’s Myth Of The Happily Ever After.

Currently, Biffy Clyro is gearing up for a series of European festival dates, followed by performances in the UK at Glastonbury Festival, TRNSMT Festival, and two headline dates at Eden Sessions. The band will mark their first ever show in Cornwall, playing at the famous bio domes on July 9 and 10, 2025. Special guests Nova Twins will join the band for the Cornwall gigs.

After their shows in Cornwall, the band will head back to Scotland for a homecoming set at TRNSMT Festival 2025 in Glasgow Green. Biffy Clyro’s upcoming UK and European tour includes performances at various locations such as Rock AM Ring in Germany, Glastonbury Festival, Eden Project in Cornwall, TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow, among other events.

With anticipation building for their potential surprise show and future gigs, fans of Biffy Clyro eagerly await their return to the music scene, hoping for new music and electrifying live performances from the Scottish rock legends.
