BTS Jin reaches career high as solo artist on Billboard chart
BTS member Jin has recently achieved a significant milestone in his solo career by reaching a career high on the Billboard chart in the United States. Jin’s second mini album titled “Echo” has climbed to the third position on the prestigious “Billboard 200” chart, marking his highest ranking on this chart to date. This accomplishment comes after his previous solo album, “Happy,” which reached the fourth spot on the chart back in November 2024.
The album “Echo” showcases a diverse range of musical genres, including pop-punk, country rock, Brit rock, J-rock, alternative rock, and ballad pop, all centered around a band sound. Jin’s ability to explore different music genres while delivering heartfelt lyrics that resonate with listeners has been instrumental in his success as a solo artist. Jin’s music has received widespread acclaim beyond the United States. “Echo” made its mark by entering the UK’s “Official Chart Album Top 100” at the 63rd spot, marking a significant achievement for Jin as his solo work gains recognition on the global stage. The album’s title track “Don’t Say You Love Me” has also garnered immense popularity, reaching the second position on Spotify’s “Daily Top Song Global” chart on May 24. Additionally, the song secured the 58th spot on the UK’s “Official Chart Single Top 100,” topping various detailed charts related to single downloads and sales.
In line with his successful solo endeavors, Jin is set to embark on his first solo fan concert tour titled “#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR.” The tour will kick off at the auxiliary stadium of Goyang Stadium in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang, from June 28-29, followed by 18 performances in nine cities worldwide, including Chiba and Osaka in Japan, as well as Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark, London, and Amsterdam. These concerts will provide Jin with the opportunity to connect with his dedicated fanbase, known as ARMY, across different parts of the globe.
Jin’s achievements as a solo artist add another feather to BTS’s cap, as the group has previously secured six albums at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.
