BTS member Jin has achieved a significant milestone in his solo career with his latest EP, “Echo,” securing the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. This marks his highest solo ranking on the prestigious chart to date, surpassing his previous record with “Happy,” which debuted at No. 4 in November.

“Echo” is a thoughtful and introspective album that delves into the reflections of life’s varied moments, akin to echoes, as seen through Jin’s distinct perspective. The EP comprises seven tracks that span across a wide range of genres, including pop punk, country rock, Brit rock, J-rock, alternative rock, and ballad pop, all rooted in a band-driven sound.

Notably, “Echo” also made waves on the UK’s Official Albums Chart, securing the No. 63 spot for the May 23-29 chart. This achievement marks the first time that a solo project by Jin has simultaneously claimed positions on both the Billboard 200 and the UK Official Chart, two of the most globally influential album charts in the music industry.

The album’s popularity extends beyond chart success, as the title track “Don’t Say You Love Me” climbed to the No. 2 position on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart by May 24. In the UK, the track made its debut at No. 58 on the Official Singles Chart Top 100 and topped various component rankings, including Singles Downloads, Singles Sales, and Physical Singles.

Jin is gearing up to connect with fans worldwide through his inaugural solo fan concert tour, “#RunSeokjin_EP.Tour,” commencing on June 28-29 at the Goyang Sports Complex Auxiliary Stadium in Gyeonggi Province. The tour is set to visit nine cities, including Chiba and Osaka in Japan, Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, and Newark in the US, as well as London and Amsterdam, totaling 18 shows.

Separately, BTS has enjoyed immense success on the Billboard 200, claiming the top spot with six of their albums: “Love Yourself: Tear,” “Love Yourself: Answer,” “Map of the Soul: Persona,” “Map of the Soul: 7,” “BE,” and “Proof.”

In the dynamic world of K-pop, BTS member Jin’s solo venture with “Echo” stands out as a testament to his artistic growth and versatility, capturing the attention of global audiences and solidifying his position as a multifaceted artist with a unique creative vision.
