Eminem wins American Music Award ahead of Drake and Kendrick Lamar
Eminem won big at the American Music Awards, beating out top competitors like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Tyler, The Creator. The Detroit rapper snagged two awards among a star-studded lineup of performers that included Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Gloria Estefan, and Rod Stewart.
Accepting the award for Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist via a video message from Detroit, Eminem expressed his gratitude, saying, “Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist. Thank you. I appreciate it. I think it has been 23 years since I won my first AMA. Thank you to the fans. Thank you to everybody that voted for me.”
