VIDEO: Andrew Barth Feldman debuts new song ‘Thank You, Muppet*Vision 3D’
Actor and vocalist, Andrew Barth Feldman, has unveiled a fresh tune and an accompanying music video titled “Thank You, Muppet*Vision 3D,” to honor the closing show. Feldman, an American performer who portrayed Antoine in “High School Musical: The Musical,” and recently lent his voice to Dopey in the live-action rendition of “Snow White,” in addition to his role as Evan Hansen in Broadway’s “Dear Evan Hansen” from 2016 to 2020, takes center stage in this homage.
The music video kicks off with Feldman’s leisurely approach to a keyboard before delving into his sincere tribute to the impending goodbye of Muppet*Vision 3D. As scenes shift to various locales around Grand Avenue and within the Muppet*Vision 3D attraction, Feldman reminisces about the show, while also expressing optimism about The Muppets dominating the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster following their departure from Grand Avenue to make room for a new Monsters Inc. Land.
Despite sentiments of disappointment surrounding the changes, Feldman expresses in his song his intention to continue visiting Disney World because of his affection for “Monsters, Inc.” The music video captures these sentiments poignantly, illustrating a blend of nostalgia and excitement for what lies ahead.
Furthermore, Feldman’s dedication to the Muppets is not new, as he previously paid tribute to “Man or Muppet” in 2021, showcasing his enduring admiration for these beloved characters. It’s clear that his emotional connection to this iconic cultural phenomenon runs deep.
The impending closure of MuppetVision 3D and PizzeRizzo on June 7, 2025, marks the end of an era, paving the way for a new Monsters, Inc.-themed land that will feature the eagerly awaited suspended Door Coaster. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano hosted its final guests on May 10 to facilitate the development of this new space.
Disney has announced plans for a heartfelt farewell event for Cast Members, offering one last chance to experience MuppetVision 3D after Disney’s Hollywood Studios concludes regular guest operations on June 10, 2025. The event promises entertainment, food, games, and an opportunity for attendees to visit PizzeRizzo in its remaining days.
For those eager to bid farewell to this beloved attraction, WDWNT is organizing “A Glorious Finale” from June 5-7. Attendees can look forward to a day filled with engaging panels, presentations by former Imagineers, and the chance to meet and obtain autographs from industry insiders. Tickets for both in-person and online streaming access are now available.
