This year holds special significance for 311 as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of their self-titled “Blue Album,” which was originally released in 1995. To commemorate this milestone, the band will be releasing a special two-LP edition of the album on July 11, which will include seven previously unreleased tracks from the original recording sessions. The album’s standout singles, “Down” and “All Mixed Up,” played a crucial role in the record’s success, selling over three million copies in the U.S.

311 originally formed in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1988, with founding members Nick Hexum, Tim Mahoney, Chad Sexton, and Aaron Wills coming together to lay the foundation for the band. Doug Martinez joined in the early 1990s, solidifying the lineup. The band’s inaugural performance took place on June 10, 1990, as they opened for Fugazi in Omaha. Prior to signing with Capricorn Records, 311 independently released three albums: “Dammit,” “Hydroponic,” and “Unity.”

With a career spanning three decades and fourteen studio albums, 311 continues to showcase their signature blend of rock, reggae, hip-hop, and funk. Their latest album, “Full Bloom,” captures both their classic sound and their exploration of new creative avenues.

The Unity Tour 2025 is set to travel to various venues across the country, allowing fans nationwide to come together and celebrate 311’s enduring legacy in the music industry.
