The Rolling Stones are currently hard at work inside London’s Metropolis Studios, collaborating on what will be their 25th studio album under the guidance of producer Andrew Watt. Despite the high costs, guitarist Keith Richards has chosen to stay at The Dorchester Hotel in London to be in close proximity to the studio where lead singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Ronnie Wood are also actively involved in the recording process.

A source revealed that the band, along with drummer Steve Jordan, has been discreetly working on a new album and already has 13 songs that they are satisfied with. Discussions around the release date are ongoing as they fine-tune the final details. This news comes after the unfortunate cancellation of the band’s UK and European tour plans, originally scheduled to follow their successful North American tour in 2024, due to logistical challenges and scheduling conflicts.

The upcoming album will serve as a follow-up to their 2023 release, “Hackney Diamonds,” which marked their return to creating original music after an 18-year gap. Debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, the album was well-received by fans and critics alike. Producer Andrew Watt, who was also behind the success of their previous work, remains at the helm to ensure a consistent creative direction for the new project.

Later this year, fans can anticipate a special commemorative release in honor of Ronnie Wood’s 50th anniversary with the band. A remastered version of their 1976 album, “Black and Blue,” will hit the market featuring two additional tracks. With a discography spanning back to 1962, The Rolling Stones have amassed a total of 31 albums, starting with their debut release on April 17, 1964, which kickstarted their extraordinary journey to over 250 million record sales worldwide.

Followers of the iconic rock band are eagerly awaiting further details about the upcoming album, as the music legends continue to push the boundaries of their illustrious career. With each new project, The Rolling Stones prove that age is no barrier to creating timeless and relevant music that resonates with audiences across generations. Stay tuned for more updates on their latest musical endeavor.
