Just Mustard, a rock band hailing from Dundalk, has recently released their latest single, “PollyAnna,” marking their first song since their album “Heart Under” in 2022. The band, known for their shoegaze-adjacent sound, is set to perform in London, Paris, Berlin, and New York, with their next Irish show scheduled for Electric Picnic on August 30th.

The music video for “PollyAnna” was directed by the band’s lead singer, Katie Ball, and the track itself was inspired by a concept of “toxic happiness.” The song takes a gauzy throwback shoegaze direction, reflecting a mix of nostalgia and darkness in its sound.

In a statement about the making of the music video, Katie Ball mentioned, “We shot the video using different CCTV and VHS cameras around our hometown Dundalk trying to have as much fun as possible, the kind of fun that makes you feel sick almost instantly which suits the themes of the song.”

Just Mustard is gearing up for an array of festival and underplay tour dates in 2025, including appearances at Green Man Festival in Wales, Electric Picnic in Ireland, Seisiún Festival in the USA, and Reeperbahn Festival in Germany. Their underplay tour spans across venues in New York, Berlin, Paris, and London, and fans can catch their performances lined up throughout the year.

The band consists of Katie Ball, David Noonan, Mete Kaylon, Rob Clarke, and Shane Maguire, each contributing their unique talents to create the distinctive sound that is Just Mustard. This latest release showcases the band’s evolution in sound while staying true to their roots, promising a captivating musical experience for both new and existing fans.

As Just Mustard continues to make a mark in the music scene with their distinct style and evolving sound, fans can look forward to more innovative and evocative music from this talented group of musicians. Stay tuned for updates on their upcoming tours, releases, and more as they continue to captivate audiences around the world with their mesmerizing music.
