Danko Jones Embraces ‘Leo Rising’ on Latest Album
Long-standing Toronto rocker Danko Jones is set to release his latest album with the band that bears his name. Titled Leo Rising, the album is scheduled for release on November 21 through Sonic Unyon / Perception.
Leo Rising features the singles “What You Need” and “Everyday Is Saturday Night.” Produced by Eric Ratz, a frequent collaborator, the album has been described in a press release as a collection of tracks that truly embody the essence of loud guitars, showcasing the band’s classic rock riffs.
In a statement, Danko Jones expressed his vision for the album, stating, “You know the sound every kid makes with their mouth when they play air guitar? That’s still the sound I want to put on every album we make. If we can come close to that sound, that’s an album worth releasing.”
The album is currently available for pre-order. While the band has announced tour dates in Europe for both the summer and winter seasons, there have been no dates released for any Canadian shows as of yet.
The tracklist for Leo Rising is as follows:
1. What You Need
2. Diamond in the Rough
3. Everyday Is Saturday Night
4. I Love It Louder
5. I’m Going Blind
