Busan International Rock Festival announces second lineup
The Busan International Rock Festival, Korea’s enduring international rock music extravaganza, has recently disclosed its second lineup for the forthcoming event, showcasing a diverse array of global icons and acclaimed Korean artists. Among the notable additions announced, iconic 1990s Brit-pop band Suede, British-Lebanese singer-songwriter Mika, Korean alternative-rock powerhouse Jaurim, and Busan-born vocalist Jung Yong-hwa leading the band CNBlue. The lineup also features the renowned singer-songwriter Lee Seung-yoon, enjoying widespread acclaim for his distinctive sound that has garnered him invitations to festivals nationwide. Xdinary Heroes will grace the stage amidst their successful world tour, while Onewe, known for delivering music that is both intense and emotionally captivating, has also secured a spot on the roster.
Another notable addition to the lineup is rising star Woodz, propelled into the limelight by his breakout hit “Drowning.” Fans can anticipate vibrant performances from electronic rock duo Glen Check and ambient project Redoor, renowned for encapsulating the tranquility of nature through their musical compositions. The lineup continues to expand with Japan’s rising dream-pop band Muque and a highly-anticipated performance by the fully reunited Y2K. Festival favorites 10cm and Touched will also deliver a blend of musical artistry and mainstream appeal to captivate the audience.
In addition to the primary festival lineup, a series of side events will complement the main festivities. The “Road to Bu-Rock” pre-festival concert in Seoul, scheduled for the weekend at Yes24 Live Hall, will set the stage for the grand event. Also, “Rookies on the Bu-Rock,” renowned for discovering and supporting emerging talents each year, is currently open for applications until the deadline on July 2nd.
