Former Kiss Drummer Peter Criss Collaborating with John 5 on New Album

Peter Criss, the founding member and drummer of the legendary rock band KISS, is set to make a musical comeback with the announcement of his upcoming solo album, marking his first solo release in nearly twenty years.

The news of Criss’ new album was shared through a video posted by a fansite called KissFAQ, with band historian Julian Gill revealing some key details about the project. In the video, Criss expresses his excitement about the album’s release, addressing his loyal fans in the KISS Army and sending blessings to all.

Gill elaborated on the album, describing it as a hard-hitting rock project with a stellar lineup of musicians. The production of the album is credited to Barry Pointer, while Criss collaborated with renowned guitarists John 5 and Mike McLaughlin, bassists Billy Sheehan and Matthew Montgomery, and pianist Paul Shaffer. The album also features the harmonious vocals of backing vocalists Dennis and Sharron Collins, as well as Cathryn Manning.

Having had the privilege of listening to the album firsthand at Criss’ studio, Gill highlighted the energy and power of the music. He expressed his excitement for the album’s release and predicted that KISS fans would be thrilled with the new music. The album is praised for its massive drum sound, powerful vocals from Criss, and impressive production quality from Barry Pointer.
