Zak Starkey, the son of Ringo Starr, is looking to capture some of the musical magic of his father’s band, The Beatles, by collaborating with the sons of Paul McCartney and John Lennon. In an exclusive conversation about his latest single, “Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous),” with his band Mantra of the Cosmos, Zak reveals that he has worked on a new song with Sean Lennon and James McCartney.

Initially hesitant about the idea of involving The Beatles’ offspring in their music, Zak admits that the pressure of being judged based on their famous fathers was something he initially avoided. However, after developing close friendships with James and Sean, he recognized their musical talents and decided to invite them to contribute to a track called “Rip Off.” To his surprise, the collaboration resulted in a great sound, with Zak praising James’ powerhouse vocals that nearly blew him away.

The magic truly happened when Shaun Ryder, Zak’s Mantra bandmate, became involved in the project. Within a short span of five minutes, Shaun displayed lyrical genius, quickly penning and recording the song. The result was a pop track with overt political undertones that delighted all involved.

Following the completion of the song, Zak reached out to George Harrison’s son, Dhani, to explain the collaborative nature of the project and assure him that everything was respectful and professional. Impressed by the work and understanding the creative process, Dhani gave his approval, mentioning his own successful music endeavors.

Mantra’s latest single, “Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous),” is set to release as a limited edition 7-inch clear vinyl on June 29, featuring the full six-minute version of the song. The first batch sold out quickly, with vinyls now commanding high prices on resale platforms.

Looking ahead to the upcoming album, Zak mentions that there are a total of 14 tunes, with six currently completed. Fans eagerly anticipate the release of the album, eager to hear more music from the talented musician and his band.

In a separate development, former Spice Girl Mel C has joined forces with England rugby star Natasha Hunt to inspire young girls to pursue sports and celebrate female role models. Emphasizing the importance of showcasing women’s achievements in various fields, Mel C reflects on the visibility and recognition of female athletes in today’s society, inspiring young girls to pursue their dreams fearlessly.

In another musical collaboration, Miley Cyrus recently performed alongside Beyonce in Paris, fulfilling a childhood dream and expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to share the stage with a legendary artist. Excited about future projects, Miley hinted at the possibility of writing her first book, potentially a memoir, as she returned to California after the performance.

Additionally, congratulations are in order for model Daisy Lowe, who recently tied the knot with Jordan Saul in London. Despite a small wedding ceremony, the couple plans to host a larger celebration with their loved ones, including Daisy’s parents, to mark the special occasion.

Lastly, Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend, Jackie Apostel, continues to be a supportive and encouraging presence in his life as he dedicates most days to working on his music in a London studio. The couple’s budding romance and shared passion for creativity highlight a sweet and inspiring relationship, with Jackie serving as a muse for Cruz as he explores his musical talents.
