For fans of punk rock, Dropkick Murphys’ ‘For The People’ is a raw and unapologetic statement against social injustices in the US. The album reflects the band’s unwavering stance on pivotal issues and offers a message of hope and solidarity during turbulent times. Lead singer Ken Casey emphasizes the importance of speaking up for what you believe in and cherishing those closest to you.

Switching gears, Gaupa’s ‘Fyr’ mini-album showcases their heavier side with a mix of intricate melodies and psychedelic riffs. Inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin’s science fiction novel ‘The Word for World Is Forest,’ vocalist Emma Näslund’s thought-provoking lyrics explore time, reality, and existential questions inherent in the human experience.

A notable reissue from the ’70s comes from Freh Khodja with ‘Ken Andi Habib.’ An Algerian saxophonist, Khodja blends North African melodies with jazz, funk, and Caribbean influences, creating an eclectic fusion of sounds. Originally recorded in Paris with Les Flammes, this album remains a seminal work of North African music capturing the vibrancy of the era.

Last but not least, Kae Tempest’s self-titled album marks their fifth studio endeavor, featuring collaborations with Neil Tennant, Tawiah, Connie Constance, and Young Fathers.
