For Those I Love, the musical project led by Dublin-based producer, visual artist, and songwriter David Balfe, is set to release a new album titled Carving The Stone. The album, which includes the recently released track ‘No Scheme,’ is scheduled to drop on September 8th under the label September Recordings.

“Carving The Stone” marks Balfe’s second album following his last single, ‘Of The Sorrows.’ The music video for ‘No Scheme’ showcases Balfe jogging while delivering poignant lyrics that reflect on the dullness of office life and juxtapose the vivacity of his teenage years with the numbness of adulthood.

In discussing the track, Balfe explains that “No Scheme” serves as a continuation of the themes explored in his previous work, particularly ‘Top Scheme.’ The song delves into introspective reflections on anger, despondency, and the search for justice in a world filled with hypocrisy and complacency.

The upcoming album also marks the first time For Those I Love will embark on a tour around Ireland and the UK. Balfe will be performing at various venues, including the Electric Picnic Festival in Stradbally and iconic locations like the Olympia Theatre in Dublin.

In crafting “Carving The Stone,” Balfe delves into themes of working-class struggles and familial love while also examining broader societal issues such as the impact of Irish capitalism on communities. Through a fusion of soaring strings, sharp guitar riffs, powerful drum beats, and evocative synth melodies, the album casts a critical eye on the cultural and economic landscape of contemporary Dublin.

Balfe’s creative process for the album involved translating personal observations and reflections into lyrics, resulting in a collection of tracks that blur the lines between art, activism, and introspection. From vivid recollections of teenage rebellion to poignant musings on adult responsibilities, “Carving The Stone” offers a multifaceted portrait of modern life and the quest for stability amidst uncertainty.

For fans eager to experience For Those I Love’s latest work live, tickets for the tour will be available for purchase starting July 4th. Additionally, pre-sale access and album pre-orders can be secured through the official website.

As Balfe continues to push boundaries and explore new sonic territories with his music, “Carving The Stone” promises to be a compelling and thought-provoking addition to his evolving discography. With its blend of heartfelt storytelling, social commentary, and infectious beats, the album is poised to resonate with listeners seeking music that speaks to the complexities of the human experience.
