This festival, regarded as the most influential B2B platform in the Mandarin music industry, attracted around 50 professionals and buyers from various regions such as Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Australia to Taiwan. The event provided a bustling platform for collaboration through activities like Speed Meeting sessions and the Biz-matching Center. Additionally, a series of Conferences were held during the festival to explore global industry developments, facilitating connections between local professionals and international markets.

At this year’s Conferences, leading experts delved into crucial topics like music creation, distribution, and marketing. Notably, Panos A. Panay, the President of The Recording Academy, shared insights on the Academy’s mission and initiatives. He discussed how artists can adapt to the digital era and expand their global reach. Panos emphasized the GRAMMYs’ global vision, which centers on the value of “Music Without Borders,” encouraging artists worldwide to share their narratives in their native languages. He also expressed great confidence in the potential of Taiwanese music and expressed excitement about the prospect of Taiwanese musicians receiving GRAMMY nominations in the future.

The festival commenced with an engaging opening event featuring six Best New Artist nominees from the Golden Melody Awards: SherryZ, Giyu Tjuljaviya, someshiit, JUD, Kumu Basaw, and Andr. These artists showcased their dynamic stage presence and creative talents, representing Taiwan’s up-and-coming pop music scene. Following the opening event, a three-day Showcase concert series featured nine Taiwanese artists and bands, including Misi Ke, Running Youth, Sauljaljui, Makav, Robot Swing, Flesh Juicer, Rhydian Vaughan, Modern Cinema Master, and Fool and Idiot. International acts from Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea also joined the lineup, adding a diverse and global element to the festival.

As part of the GMA Partnership Program, Taiwanese artists who participated in the festival have received invitations to perform at overseas events such as the Pentaport Rock Festival in Incheon, South Korea in August, CAT EXPO in Thailand in November, and JoyLand Festival in Indonesia also in November. This program aims to promote Taiwanese talent on an international platform, further solidifying Taiwan’s presence in the global music industry.
