Kicking off with a hometown release show at The Sultan Room on July 11, Brooklyn’s psychedelic, indie-funk band, PEAK, is back with their third full-length album, “Vanishing Skies.” Originally starting as Jeremy Hilliard’s solo project in 2016, PEAK quickly evolved into a full band with a lineup of talented musicians, including drummer Kito Bovenschulte, bassist Josh T. Carter, and keyboardist Johnny Young. Together, they bring a unique blend of deep improv roots, funk rhythms, and a spacey, soulful edge to their sound, combining elements of jam-rock, indie, blues, and funk with influences ranging from Radiohead to Jack White and Miles Davis.

Their latest album, “Vanishing Skies,” was officially released earlier this year, with a set of bonus tracks scheduled to drop on July 8. Recorded at Horizon Sound in Sunset Park, the album showcases the band’s signature blend of jam-funk and indie grit, solidifying the creative strides they made on their previous album, “Choppy Water.” Engineered by Michelle Young and mixed by Jason “Jocko” Randall, the project delves deeper into their sound while maintaining a focus on strong songwriting.

PEAK will be hitting the road for a series of live performances in Northeast locations, including four shows across New York. The tour kicks off with the album release show in Brooklyn on July 11, followed by performances in Nyack, Bethel, Kempton, and Baltimore. Fans can expect a dynamic live performance from PEAK, with a setlist featuring tracks from “Vanishing Skies” along with fan favorites and surprises.

PEAK’s fusion of genres and influences has garnered them a dedicated following, with their music drawing comparisons to a wide range of artists and bands. With their unique sound and energetic live performances, PEAK continues to captivate audiences and expand their reach within the music industry. As they embark on their Vanishing Skies Tour, fans can expect an immersive and unforgettable experience that showcases the band’s evolution and musical prowess.
