Greta Van Fleet has solidified their status as a successful arena band, but Jake Kiszka, the band’s electric guitar virtuoso, has been branching out creatively by forming a new band on the side. This new venture, Mirador, was born out of Greta Van Fleet’s world tour, providing Kiszka and his new partner Chris Turpin from Ida Mae with the opportunity to develop their skills while supporting Greta on their U.S. tour.

Kiszka’s experience in the music industry has proven to be invaluable in shaping Mirador’s approach. Reflecting on his time with Greta Van Fleet, Kiszka acknowledges that there are things he wishes he could change, particularly in the way their music was recorded. Despite this, he appreciates the evolution and uniqueness of Greta’s discography, noting the stark differences between each record.

With Mirador, Kiszka is determined to take a different path. The band members, including Mikey Sorbello on drums and Nick Pini on bass and keyboards, are seasoned professionals with diverse musical backgrounds. Kiszka highlights their experience in the underground London music scene, with Nick even having worked with the likes of Adele. The addition of Chris and his distinctive guitar style further enhances the band’s dynamic.

Bringing together these talented individuals was a natural process for Kiszka and the rest of Mirador. Rather than struggling to define their sound, the band members approached their collaboration with a sense of knowing who they are and what they represent. This organic connection resulted in a spontaneous creation of Mirador’s unique sound.

For fans missing the live experience of Greta Van Fleet, Mirador has lined up live dates across the United States in September and October. This marks an exciting opportunity for audiences to witness Kiszka and his bandmates in action, delivering electrifying performances that showcase their collective musical prowess.
