Gardner. “It felt like zooming out on my whole life and finally seeing the bigger picture. These snapshots — these songs — are the most beautiful parts of me. They tell the story of where I come from, who I come from, what I’ve learned and who I’m becoming. I hope these songs encourage people to take the time to make their own version of that too. I think it’s important that we all do.”
Hailing from Burnsville, North Carolina, Lanie Gardner grew up surrounded by music, inheriting her talents from her family. She learned to sing from her mother and play the guitar from her father in the small Appalachian town she calls home. Transitioning from a reserved individual to a blossoming artist, Gardner made her way to Nashville in pursuit of her grandfather’s dream of performing at the Grand Ole Opry. This dream will soon become a reality as she makes her debut at the iconic venue on August 6.
Fresh off the release of her Polaroids EP and her successful debut album, which earned her recognition as a “2025 Artist to Watch” by both the Recording Academy/GRAMMY and Amazon Music, Gardner is now set to unveil her latest project, Faded Polaroids. This upcoming album showcases Gardner embracing her unique sound and identity. From soul-cleansing melodies like “Takin’ The Slow Ride” to the nostalgic and rootsy “Love You Like Appalachia,” the album captures Gardner at her most authentic and vulnerable state.
With a tracklist that includes songs such as “Boys Like You,” “The Hills Have Eyes,” and “Mama’s Kitchen Table,” Faded Polaroids promises to take listeners on a journey through Gardner’s life experiences and emotions.
