This year’s edition guarantees to be more fantastic than ever, presenting a diverse lineup of both local and national talents gracing the stage. The festival highlights the very best of rock and blues while also serving as a platform for up-and-coming artists. An enthusiastic team of volunteers diligently work behind the scenes to ensure the success of this event.

The upcoming performances feature a stellar lineup including acts like Creedence Clearwater Review, King King, The Commoners, Jayler, Georgia Nevada, White Heat, and Aynsley Lister. Emma Thomas, festival coordinator, expresses her anticipation for another year of music and community celebrations at the Cambridge Rock Festival. Meanwhile, festival director Dave Roberts shares his excitement, mentioning that this year’s lineup is shaping up to be one of the most exceptional ones so far, combining established acts with fresh new talent. Roberts eagerly anticipates the return of festival-goers to experience a multitude of old and new music.

The long weekend of festival festivities kicks off on Thursday evening, offering a sneak peek into the upcoming musical performances. Following this, from Friday to Sunday, attendees can indulge in music from 11 am to 11 pm, ranging from popular bands to undiscovered gems waiting to be unearthed. The festival venue, Ben’s Yard, located on the Stuntney Estate, will host a diverse array of entertainment options to cater to all preferences.

In addition to the vibrant live music lineup, the festival will boast a real ale bar, various merchandise, local food vendors, and an assortment of stalls selling a range of products. The organizers prioritize providing a welcoming, secure, and enjoyable experience for all visitors, ensuring that the site is accessible to individuals with disabilities by offering green fields with no step access.

Originating in 2004 as a family-run affair known as the Rockinbeerfest, the CRF initially took place at Huntingdon Racecourse, headlined by Dr. Feelgood, The Stranglers, and Wishbone Ash. Through the years, the festival garnered critical support and a dedicated team of volunteers, enabling its smooth operation until today. The event transitioned venues from Huntingdon Racecourse to the Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester, then to Haggis Farm Polo Club, and eventually to Horseheath Lodge and the East of England Showground in Peterborough. Following the closure of the Peterborough site, the festival has found a new home at Horlock’s Farm near Stuntney, Ely, marking its second year at this location in 2025.
