Wolfgang Van Halen Announces October Release Date for Third Album “The End”
Wolfgang Van Halen is gearing up for the release of his third solo album, “The End,” which is scheduled to hit stores on October 24. Produced at 5150 Studios in Los Angeles by Michael “Elvis” Baskette, the 39-minute album features ten tracks showcasing Wolfgang’s talent where he took charge of every note and vocal line.
Describing the album, Wolfgang mentioned, “It’s still over-the-top and shreddy, but it’s also melodic and controlled. … Once we finished The End, it felt really special.” Initially forming his band as Mammoth WVH and later shortening it to Mammoth, Wolfgang has been making waves with his captivating music.
The lead single of “The End,” titled “The Spell,” has already gained significant traction with its music video amassing over 4 million views. Directed by Gordy De St. Jeor, the video prominently features Wolfgang playing all instruments. The title track of the album was unveiled in May, accompanied by a star-studded music video directed by Robert Rodriguez, featuring appearances from Danny Trejo, Slash, Myles Kennedy, and Valerie Bertinelli.
Embarking on the “Return of the Summer of ’99” tour on July 9, the band has been thrilling audiences until August 30. The tour will resume on November 1 in Las Vegas, where Myles Kennedy will join them on stage. Wolfgang’s previous albums, “Mammoth WVH” and “Mammoth II,” have experienced chart success, with the former reaching No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart and the latter debuting on the Top Album Sales chart and returning to No. 1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart.
As a GRAMMY-nominated songwriter, vocalist, instrumentalist, and producer, Wolfgang Van Halen has displayed his versatility and musical prowess throughout his career. Having also contributed to Van Halen’s albums and been a member of Tremonti, Wolfgang’s diverse musical background shines through in “The End.”
