Nine Inch Nails conclude NOS Alive 2025 with mesmerizing performances
The highly sought-after NOS Alive 2025 festival took place in Lisbon from 10th to 12th July this year and saw a melange of performances from renowned artists. This year’s event included memorable acts such as Olivia Rodrigo, CMAT, The Wombats, Amyl and the Sniffers, Jet, Saint Vincent, Bright Eyes, and a spectacular closing show by Nine Inch Nails for an epic wrap-up.
The devoted attendees from around the globe gathered at Lisbon’s Passeio Marítimo de Algés for the festival’s 17th run, featuring an assorted lineup of musical delights, comedy, and entertainment. Kicking off the three-day extravaganza was Olivia Rodrigo, fresh from wowing the audience at Glastonbury Festival, offering a powerful rock-pop performance that resonated with the attendees. The second day showcased talents like Girl In Red, The Wombats, and a visually dazzling set by the Justice that preceded ANYMA’s headlining act.
The festivities continued with The Teskey Brothers, FINNEAS, and a captivating midnight set by St. Vincent, paving the way for a dance-filled night courtesy of British DJ Sammy Virji. Day three of the festival rocked out with high-energy performances by Jet and Amyl and The Sniffers, leading up to a compelling back-to-back display by Muse and Nine Inch Nails on the main stage. Muse, initially standing in for an injured Kings of Leon, delivered a remarkable performance, playing a wide selection of their chart-topping hits amid dazzling pyrotechnics and an emotional tribute by bassist Chris Wolstenholme to the late Portuguese footballer Diogo Jota.
Following Muse’s stellar set, Nine Inch Nails took the stage with a commanding presence, opening with Somewhat Damaged and weaving through a dark yet alluring setlist that included fan favorites such as Mr. Self Destruct, March of the Pigs, Closer, The Hand That Feeds, and Head Like A Hole. Trent Reznor and the band, hailed as pioneers of the industrial rock genre, proved their mettle, demonstrating a timeless and potent stage presence that thrilled the awaiting audience.
As the festival drew to a close, the night sky lit up with spectacular fireworks as Nine Inch Nails concluded their mesmerizing show, leaving the crowd in awe of their masterful performance.
