After nearly a week of speculation, Morgan Wallen finally revealed in Phoenix, Arizona, that he will be dropping the highly anticipated remix of his hit song “Miami,” featuring renowned hip-hop artists Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, this upcoming Friday, July 25th. In the midst of his performance, Wallen excitedly announced to the crowd, “there’s a remix of my Miami song with Rick Ross and Lil Wayne that’s gonna come out next Friday.”

This much-anticipated announcement follows Wallen’s surprise unveiling of the remix during his show at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on July 11th. In the middle of his performance, Wallen took a moment to express his enthusiasm, giving credit to Lil Wayne and Rick Ross for their contributions to the new version of the song. “On that walkout right there, I have to say, shoutout to Lil Wayne and to Rick Ross for hopping on that,” he exclaimed to the thrilled audience, teasing, “I need to figure out when to drop that.” A snippet of Lil Wayne’s verse was shared on Wallen’s Instagram that evening, followed by a clip of Rick Ross’s verse later in the week.

The remix of “Miami” embraces a nostalgic hip-hop sound while still staying true to Wallen’s country music roots, showcasing his ability to blend genres seamlessly. Wallen’s recent collaborations with artists like Lil Durk and MoneyBagg Yo have received widespread acclaim, with his guest appearance on “WHISKEY WHISKEY” earning praise from fans and critics alike. The original version of “Miami” was described by The New York Times as a perfect fit for a Rick Ross feature, a vision that Wallen has now brought to life alongside the unique flow of Lil Wayne.

The release of the remix coincides with Wallen’s ongoing “I’m the Problem” tour, with scheduled performances in Tampa and Charlotte. It remains unclear whether the track will be unveiled as a standalone single or as part of a larger release for “I’m the Problem.” Wallen had previously hinted at yet another remix on Theo Von’s podcast, revealing that a verse from BigXthaPlug didn’t make the cut for the original album, but the addition of Lil Wayne and Rick Ross has elevated the project to new heights.

Fans can look forward to the release of “Miami” featuring Lil Wayne and Rick Ross this Friday, available on all major platforms.
