Aussie punk rock legends The Living End are making a roaring comeback with their highly anticipated new album, “I Only Trust Rock n Roll,” set to release on September 26 through BMG. After an eight-year hiatus, the trio is back with a vengeance, kicking things off with the title track that sets the tone for what promises to be a raw and powerful album. The upcoming national tour this spring is sure to see the band at their best, delivering electrifying performances on stages across the country.

The album, aptly named “I Only Trust Rock n Roll,” captures the essence of The Living End at their most authentic – gritty, intense, and focused. Lead vocalist Chris Cheney drew inspiration from his time in the US amidst political turmoil and the pandemic, channeling that energy into eleven explosive tracks that pack a punch.

Chris Cheney emphasized the essence of the album, stating, “I didn’t want bells and whistles – just songs that slam. Trim the fat. Keep it lean. Make it count.” The band is set to embark on a special double-set tour, covering the expanse of their illustrious career. The first half will feature a mix of their greatest hits like ‘White Noise,’ ‘Roll On,’ and ‘Who’s Gonna Save Us,’ along with fresh tracks from the upcoming album. The second set will be a full performance of their iconic 1998 self-titled debut LP, including hits like ‘Second Solution,’ ‘All Torn Down,’ ‘Save the Day,’ and ‘Prisoner of Society’ – a real treat for die-hard fans.

Drummer Andy Strachan encapsulated the band’s performance ethos by stating, “The best gigs are when we come off completely rooted. We leave nothing behind.” Fans can pre-order the album to secure early access to tour tickets or indulge in the title track, which exemplifies The Living End’s characteristic sound and energy.
