Pittsburgh’s Deathcore outfit, Signs of the Swarm, is preparing to drop their sixth full-length album, To Rid Myself of Truth, via Century Media Records on August 22nd. Before the big release date, the band has treated their fans to a taste of the record with a fresh video for the title track.

According to drummer Bobby Crow, the inspiration for the song came from a conversation he had with Dave about returning to their musical roots and creating heavy, intense music. Bobby aimed to deliver a raw, powerful track to kick off the album and prove that the band means business.

Vocalist Dave Simonich highlighted the aggressive breakdown in the song, claiming it to be one of the heaviest on the album, alongside the closing track ‘Creator.’ Dave also shared that a line from the song, “The shrieks of two, the screams of one, the cries of none,” was influenced by a recent Nosferatu movie.

During the creation of the new album, Signs of the Swarm worked with producer Josh Schroeder, known for his work with Lorna Shore, Mental Cruelty, Varials, and King 810. They spent seven weeks crafting the album and added guitarist/backing vocalist Carl Schulz to the lineup for the recording process. The band now consists of four members, with Michael Cassese on bass.

Fans can catch Signs of the Swarm on tour alongside Mental Cruelty, ten56., Carcosa, and Face Yourself. The tour kicks off on October 2nd in Montreal, QC, with dates across Canada and the US, including stops in Toronto, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and more.

The rigorous touring schedule brings Signs of the Swarm to venues large and small, including The Loving Touch in Michigan, Amsterdam Bar in Minnesota, HQ in Colorado, Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, and The Palladium in Massachusetts. The band is prepared to showcase their intense sound across the United States, delivering heavy breakdowns and powerful lyrics to their dedicated fan base.

The band’s lineup features a mix of seasoned musicians and fresh talent, creating a dynamic and energetic performance that promises to leave audiences feeling exhilarated and energized. Signs of the Swarm’s commitment to delivering top-notch music and memorable live shows has solidified their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the deathcore scene.

As the release date for their latest album approaches, Signs of the Swarm is gearing up to unleash a new chapter in their musical journey, eager to connect with fans and make a lasting impact with their powerful, heavy sound. With a passion for their craft and a drive to push the boundaries of their genre, Signs of the Swarm is poised to captivate audiences and establish themselves as one of the leading bands in the metal scene.
