Everclear Announces Australian Tour Dates for November and December to Celebrate 30 Years of Sparkle and Fade
Everclear is set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their album “Sparkle and Fade” with a tour across Australia later this year. The album, released in 1995, marked a turning point for the band as their first major-label album, introducing them to a global audience with hits like “Santa Monica,” “Heroin Girl,” and “Heartspark Dollarsign.” Everclear, led by frontman Art Alexakis, has had a successful career since forming in Portland in 1992, with 11 studio albums, over six million records sold, and 12 Top 40 hits on alternative and mainstream radio.
To commemorate their journey, the band will perform on a 16-date tour starting in Newcastle on November 21 and moving through major cities like Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, before wrapping up in Adelaide on December 13. Everclear has been an integral part of the alternative rock scene in the mid-90s and beyond. Their sound has resonated with fans worldwide, leading to critical acclaim and commercial success.
In addition to the band’s achievements, Art Alexakis released a solo album titled “Sun Songs” in 2019 and revealed his battle with multiple sclerosis. Despite his health challenges, Alexakis remains committed to giving back, with a portion of ticket sales from every show going to charities like Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and the National MS Society. Everclear’s legacy includes their independent debut album “World of Noise” in 1993, followed by a remastered deluxe edition in 2022 and a retrospective film in the same year, showcasing the band’s evolution and impact on the music industry.
Fans can catch Everclear live on tour at various venues across Australia, from the Bar on the Hill in Newcastle to The Gov in Adelaide. Ticket sales will be available through Spotify and Bandsintown presales before the general public on-sale date. The tour dates promise an electrifying experience for fans of Everclear’s music and legacy, with hits spanning their career set to resonate with audiences new and old.
As Everclear takes to the stage to celebrate “Sparkle and Fade,” their music continues to inspire and captivate listeners, showcasing the band’s lasting impact on the alternative rock genre.
