Chappell Roan launches music video for “The Subway”
Chappell Roan has officially unveiled her studio version of the powerful ballad “The Subway” after performing it live at NYC’s Governors Ball clad as the Statue of Liberty over a year ago. Demonstrating her love for New York City, Chappell stated that “This song encompasses everything I love about New York City, with the hope, heartbreak, and healing that it has to offer us all.”
For fans who have witnessed the live versions of “The Subway” on YouTube with over a million plays, the studio release does not disappoint. The song retains its soaring quality and emotive ballad-driven essence that captivates listeners. The official video for the track was set to drop at 10 AM ET on Friday, but fans can now immerse themselves in the visual representation of the song.
Since the debut of “The Subway” at GovBall, Chappell Roan has introduced her country-infused track “The Giver” on SNL and officially put it out earlier this year.
