Everclear plans Australian tour in honor of 30th anniversary of ‘Sparkle and Fade’ album
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of their influential album “Sparkle and Fade,” Everclear has announced a 16-show tour in Australia from November 21 to December 13. The band is set to perform some of their most beloved tracks during this tour, marking three decades since the album made its mark on the music scene.
Art Alexakis, the frontman of Everclear, expressed his deep connection to “Sparkle and Fade,” stating that it was the album he had always wanted to make. This record changed the course of the band’s career and holds a special place in their hearts. Hits from the album such as “Santa Monica,” “Heroin Girl,” “Heartspark Dollarsign,” and others will be featured in the setlist for the tour.
One of Everclear’s most successful albums, “Sparkle and Fade” received the RIAA’s Platinum certification in 1996 by selling over a million copies. Despite facing a multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2019, Alexakis remains fiercely dedicated to his music, recording, and touring with unwavering determination. In a gesture of goodwill, a portion of each ticket sale will be donated to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and the National MS Society.
The band’s current lineup consists of Art Alexakis on vocals and strings, Davey French on guitar, Freddy Herrera on bass, and Brian Nolan on drums. Fans eager to secure their spots at these highly-anticipated shows can take advantage of Spotify and Bandsintown presales on July 30 at 9 a.m. AEST. The general ticket sales will commence on July 31 at 9 a.m. AEST through Everclear’s official website.
Kicking off the tour at Newcastle’s Bar on the Hill, Everclear will conclude their Australian run at Adelaide’s The Gov. The band’s enduring legacy and dedication to delivering powerful performances make this tour a must-see event for fans of alternative rock. Don’t miss the chance to experience Everclear’s iconic sound live as they celebrate the lasting impact of “Sparkle and Fade” after three decades in the music industry.
