Deftones release ‘My Mind is a Mountain’ from latest album ‘Private Music’

Deftones have given fans a taste of their upcoming 10th album, ‘Private Music,’ by releasing the track ‘My Mind is a Mountain.’ This 11-song project was produced by Grammy Award-winner Nick Raskulinecz and co-produced in different California locations, such as Malibu and Joshua Tree, as well as in Nashville, Tennessee. Raskulinecz, a three-time collaborator with the band, previously worked on Deftones’ 2010 album ‘Diamond Eyes’ and their 2012 release ‘Koi No Yokan.’

The band kicked off their first North American headlining tour in two years earlier in 2025, with Phantogram and Idles joining as support on select dates, and The Barbarians of California opening all shows. The tour continues with the next leg starting on August 22nd at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, and making its way through arenas across Canada and the United States. Upcoming stops include Rocket Arena in Cleveland, OH, on September 10th and Ball Arena in Denver, CO, on September 15th. The tour’s second leg concludes on September 17th at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, MO.
