Lady Gaga will be releasing a new song, “Death Dance,” for season two of Netflix’s “Wednesday.” A source intimate with the situation shared that the music video accompanying the song will be directed by Tim Burton and was filmed in Mexico. Exact dates concerning the shooting remain unknown, as Gaga was in Mexico earlier in the year for concerts at the Estadio GNP Seguros in April.

Variety was the first to break the news about Lady Gaga’s involvement in “Wednesday.” The song, “Death Dance,” is expected to be unveiled soon, with sources hinting at a release date next month.

Gaga’s casting in “Wednesday” was earlier reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Netflix made the official announcement at a Tudum fan event held at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The highly anticipated Part 1 of “Wednesday” Season 2 premiered on August 6th, with Part 2, featuring Gaga’s appearance, scheduled for release on September 3rd.

In an interview with THR, Tim Burton shared his excitement about working on the show and his fondness for the character of Wednesday. He expressed particular interest in exploring a longer format like television, highlighting the intriguing nature of the character. Burton directed four episodes in the first season and is set to direct four more in the upcoming one.

Reflecting on his propensity for the teenage Wednesday Addams, Burton noted the subtlety required from both the character and the director. He humorously acknowledged the challenge of empathizing with her emotions, stating, “As much as a middle-aged man could feel like a teenage Wednesday Addams, I feel those things.” The complexities of Wednesday’s character, revolving around a limited range of emotions, have compelled Burton to ensure a nuanced portrayal consistent with her essence in the script.
