My Chemical Romance recently set the internet abuzz with speculation about an upcoming UK tour. Known for their Teenagers rock hits, the band is currently wowing fans on the North American leg of their Long Live The Black Parade stadium tour. With scheduled stops in South America and Asia next year, followers of the group have been eagerly waiting for news on any potential UK dates.

The excitement reached new heights when a cryptic video clip was shared by the band featuring an old-school TV game show called Quizzo. In the video, the host enthusiastically announced, “Our two fine contestants will help us learn who will be the next lucky country to win the grand prize of one nuclear winter.” As one of the players hit a big button, the host revealed the words, “Congratulations, United Kingdom!”

Fans flooded the comments section with speculations and excitement, wondering if this hint indeed meant that a UK tour is on the horizon. This isn’t the first time My Chemical Romance has thrilled fans with cryptic teasers. Just last month, followers were convinced that new music was in the works after a picture of a stage light was posted on the band’s Instagram with the caption, “A dagger, a dagger, Please fetch me a dagger.” Another aspect of the art was a clue that read, “Time: 7:11:25:00.” Despite the anticipations, no new music surfaced, and it turned out to be a reference to the commencement of their US stadium tour for Long Live The Black Parade.

Given their history, fans are hopeful that the band will continue to surprise them with new developments. Back in 2022, My Chemical Romance treated fans to their first new music in almost a decade with the release of the single, The Foundations of Decay. When asked about the possibility of a new album following 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys, guitarist and backup vocalist, Frank Iero, maintained a shroud of secrecy. He expressed, “No, sorry. When that stuff – if that stuff were to happen, we will tell you. We will tell you in the way we want to tell you.”

Iero, while sharing the band’s immense affinity for the UK, refrained from divulging any details about a potential UK leg of the Long Live The Black Parade Tour. He explained, “It’s been long-documented that we are huge fans of the UK – this is a home away from home for us. We’ve done things where the first place we played for a record release was the UK. It’s always felt like a place that we love and that we hold very dear. But, to tell the future? It would be remiss to do that.”

Fans of My Chemical Romance are eagerly waiting for more updates about the band’s tour plans, fueled by these cryptic hints and teasers that keep them on the edge of their seats in anticipation of what’s to come.
