My Chemical Romance reveal UK dates for Black Parade tour
My Chemical Romance has recently confirmed that they will be embarking on a UK tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their album The Black Parade. Fans were initially teased with cryptic social media posts, but the band has now officially announced that they will be performing two shows at Wembley Stadium on 10 and 11 July 2026.
This announcement follows the success of their sold-out North American stadium tour, Long Live: The Black Parade, which began earlier this year. While fans are thrilled about the upcoming UK tour, some have expressed concerns about the limited dates, which are currently restricted to London.
The band’s last performance in the UK was in 2022, where they played in Milton Keynes and Warrington as part of their reunion tour. Speculations have arisen about whether the band will also be making a headlining appearance at Download Festival, which will take place from 10 to 14 June at Donington Park. Updates have been shared on the band’s social media accounts, although comments have been disabled. At this time, the only confirmed details are the tour dates, venue, and ticket release time, which is scheduled for Friday, 15 August at 10 am.
My Chemical Romance first formed in September 2001, releasing their third studio album, The Black Parade, five years later. This rock opera concept album received critical acclaim and commercial success, earning multi-platinum certification in both the US and the UK.
In 2013, the band announced their breakup on their official website, stating that “like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure.” However, My Chemical Romance surprised fans with a reunion announcement in 2019, along with plans for a tour set to start in 2020. Unfortunately, the tour was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and finally took place in 2022, coinciding with the release of their new song, “The Foundations of Decay” – their first since 2014.
