Music festivals have faced challenges in recent years, but Harvest Rock in Adelaide is making a comeback in 2025 after taking a year off. This two-day festival originally launched in 2022 by Secret Sounds and Live Nation has hosted renowned international artists like Jamiroquai and Jack White. However, this year’s lineup promises to be just as spectacular with a mixture of global acts and local favorites performing on Kaurna Country in Adelaide on the final weekend of October.

Headlining the festival is New York indie rock legends, The Strokes, making their first Australian appearance since 2022. Their exclusive Saturday set at Harvest Rock will mark their first show in Adelaide in nearly two decades. The Strokes have a long history of producing influential rock music, from their debut album “Is This It” to their Grammy-winning album “The New Abnormal.” Known for their distinctive sound, The Strokes rarely disappoint during live performances.

Country music stars Jelly Roll and Shaboozey will also be making their debut in Australia at Harvest Rock. Jelly Roll, recognized for hits like “Liar” and “Son Of A Sinner,” brings his powerful vocals to the stage, while Shaboozey merges hip-hop with country music in songs like “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” Another highlight of the festival is the Grammy-winning American rock band, The War On Drugs, led by frontman Adam Granduciel. With their critically acclaimed album “I Don’t Live Here Anymore,” The War On Drugs promises an engrossing live show for festival-goers.

Other international acts on the lineup include electronic music duo Groove Armada, British dubstep producers Skream & Benga, and country singer-songwriters Julia Cole and Drew Baldridge. The Ministry Of Sound Classical set will also blend orchestral music with dance hits for a unique musical experience.

Harvest Rock takes pride in showcasing local talent as well. Australian acts like Vance Joy, Lime Cordiale, Royel Otis, and Genesis Owusu bring their eclectic sounds to the festival stages. Notable local artists Wolfmother, The Presets, PNAU, Bag Raiders, and Cloud Control will also be performing, creating an exciting atmosphere for festival attendees.

Apart from the music stages, Harvest Rock offers a family-friendly environment with activities for children. A third stage will host comedy and culinary events, highlighting South Australia’s diverse food and beverage offerings. Festival-goers can expect a weekend filled with music, laughter, and delicious food at Harvest Rock this year.

With an impressive lineup featuring a mix of international stars and homegrown talents, Harvest Rock is set to be a standout event in Adelaide’s music scene in 2025.
