La Fiebre releases thrilling music video for ‘Ayúdame’
Tejano music icons La Fiebre have made a triumphant return with the release of their energetic new single, “Ayúdame,” accompanied by a dynamic music video. This marks their first new release in nearly three years and sets the tone for their upcoming 40th-anniversary album titled RAÍCES.
The lead track, “Ayúdame,” serves as a fusion of traditional ranchera elements with La Fiebre’s unique Tejano-Rock flavor. Penned by Texas songwriter Isaac Rodriguez and recorded at Legends Sound Studios in Corpus Christi, the song features powerful horn arrangements by original band member Luis Ayala, saxophonist Jonas Flores, and accordionist Julian Gonzalez. Lead vocalist Angel Cantu brings his signature powerhouse vocals to the track, supported by guitarist and segunda voz Rudy Rocha, bassist Joe Angel Reynosa, and guest drummer Joey Jimenez.
The production of “Ayúdame” under the guidance of engineer Mariano “Nano” Herrera has resulted in a modern anthem that resonates with the band’s roots and musical evolution. The upcoming album, RAÍCES, pays homage to La Fiebre’s origins, dedicated fan base, and hometown of Pasadena, Texas. The album seamlessly blends the classic Tejano-Rock sound that fans have come to love with innovative arrangements that showcase the band’s growth and willingness to experiment with new ideas.
In a recent interview, the members of La Fiebre expressed their excitement about RAÍCES and the direction of their music, stating, “We try to give you the traditional Fiebre, but also introduce some of the new ideas we’ve come out with. It’s fun music. We’re always experimenting.” This sentiment is evident in the bold and energetic sound of “Ayúdame” and sets the stage for a groundbreaking new chapter in the band’s storied career.
The music video for “Ayúdame,” crafted by director MikeShotIt, perfectly captures La Fiebre’s essence as a live band, showcasing their stage presence, energy, and charisma that have been the hallmark of their four-decade journey.
