Brotherhood of Rock Tour comes to Pine Knob
The recent Brotherhood of Rock Tour 2025 made its stop at Pine Knob, thrilling the around 9,000 fans in attendance with a night filled with classic rock hits on August 16. Styx, the Kevin Cronin band (previously known as REO Speedwagon), and former Eagles guitarist Don Felder are all seasoned musicians who know how to keep their audiences satisfied.
Don Felder showcased his talent with flawless renditions of beloved Eagles classics like “Already Gone,” “One of These Nights,” “Take It Easy,” “Heartache Tonight,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” and the iconic “Hotel California.” In addition to his renowned hits, Felder also performed songs from his latest album “The Vault” including “Hollywood Victim” and a fresh interpretation of his title track from the 1981 animated film “Heavy Metal.”
Following Felder’s impressive set, Kevin Cronin led the newly named band in providing a high-energy performance. The band treated fans to a full rendition of their Diamond-certified 1980 album “Hi Infidelity” alongside hit tracks like “Keep Pushin`,” “Time For Me to Fly,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” and “Roll With the Changes.” Cronin also paid tribute to former bandmates, especially guitarist Gary Richrath, and commemorated REO’s past performance at the Live Aid concert in 1985.
Closing the night on a high note, Styx took the stage with their signature energy and musicianship. The band delighted fans with tracks from their triple-platinum 1977 album “The Grand Illusion” and other hits like “Too Much Time on My Hands,” “Blue Collar Man (Long Nights),” and “Build and Destroy” from their latest album “Circling From Above.” Notably, original bassist Chuck Panozzo made a guest appearance for performances of “Lady,” “Mr. Roboto,” and “Renegade” during the encore, adding to the magic of the evening.
